Simple Copywriting Formulas for Landing Pages That Convert
(Even If You’ve Never Written a Sales Page in Your Life)
Okay, let’s make this easy.
You don’t have to be a pro writer, or sound super “salesy,” to write a landing page (aka a page that gets people to sign up, buy, or take action).
You just need a clear message and a formula that helps you say it in the right order. 💡
This post will walk you through a few of my favorite copywriting formulas that I use all the time for landing pages—for myself and my clients.
They’re simple, they work, and anyone can use them (yes, even you 🙌).
Let’s gooo!

First, What’s a Landing Page?

Imagine a lemonade stand. Your sign says:
“Fresh lemonade, $1, ice cold!”
That sign is like a landing page. It tells people:
  • What you’re offering
  • Why they should care
  • And what to do next
A landing page is just one page on your website that helps people make a decision—like signing up for your freebie, booking a call, or buying your offer.

Copywriting = Writing That Makes People Take Action

Copywriting isn't about using big words. It’s about saying the right things in the right order so people feel seen, understood, and ready to take the next step.
Now let’s get into the good stuff…

Formula #1: PAS — Problem, Agitation, Solution

This one is like telling a story.
P - Start with the problem your audience is having
A - Make that problem feel real and frustrating (agitate it a little)
S - Show how your freebie, service, or product is the solution

Example:

Tired of spending hours creating Instagram posts that no one even sees?
You’re not alone—so many new biz owners feel stuck and invisible online.
That’s why I created the Content Kickstart Guide—with 30 done-for-you prompts so you can post with confidence and attract the right people (without the stress).
👉 CTA (Call to Action): “Download the free guide now!”

Formula #2: AIDA — Attention, Interest, Desire, Action

This one’s a classic—it grabs attention and builds curiosity.
A - Grab their attention with something bold or relatable
I - Get them interested by sharing a key benefit or story
D - Make them want it by showing results or transformation
A - Tell them what to do next (click, buy, sign up, etc.)

Example:

Ready to stop guessing and finally build a website that works?
Most new entrepreneurs waste months spinning their wheels with the wrong tools.
With my step-by-step Website Starter Kit, you’ll know exactly what to do and how to do it—no tech stress, no guesswork.

Formula #3: FAB — Features, Advantages, Benefits

This one is great if you’re offering a product, service, or freebie and want to show what’s included.
F - Feature: What’s included
A - Advantage: What makes it better or easier
B - Benefit: What result it gives them

Example:

🎁 This free checklist includes:
  • 10 must-do website steps (feature)
  • So you don’t miss anything important while building (advantage)
  • And you launch with confidence and clarity (benefit)

How to Use These Formulas in Real Life (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Pick one formula

Start with PAS or AIDA—they’re super easy and flexible.

Step 2: Write like you talk

Pretend you’re texting your best friend. No need to sound fancy or formal.

Step 3: Use short sentences + clear actions

Use words like:
  • “Grab your free guide”
  • “Book a call”
  • “Join the challenge”
  • “Start today”

Step 4: Add a call to action

This is just a button or link that tells them what to do next. Don’t make them guess.

Pro Tip: You Don’t Have to Start From Scratch

If writing freaks you out, that’s okay!
Here’s what I tell my clients:
  • Use these formulas like building blocks
  • Look at landing pages you like and notice how they’re structured
  • Don’t worry about being “perfect”—just be clear and helpful
You can also use tools like AttractWell to easily build your landing page, add your copy, and launch without needing 10 tech tools.

You’re Closer Than You Think

You don’t need to be a pro writer or marketing wizard to create landing pages that work.
With a good formula, a clear message, and a heart to serve—you’ve got everything you need to start turning readers into clients or subscribers.
Pick one of these formulas, write a rough draft, and get it out there!
I’m cheering you on 👏—and if you want help putting your page together, you know where to find me. 💛
